关于举办第六届中国东南地区

数学奥林匹克竞赛的通知

中国东南地区数学奥林匹克（China Southeast Mathematical Olympiad简称CSMO），起源于闽浙赣地区数学奥林匹克。为了加强闽浙赣地区数学奥林匹克的协作和交流，在中国数学奥委会副主席裘宗沪先生的倡议与主持下，闽浙赣三省数学奥林匹克协作体于2003年开始组织本项活动。活动主要面向三省高一学生，并邀请国内著名重点中学、港、澳、台地区以及部分境外国家的高一学生组队参加。此项活动于2004年7月正式更名为“中国东南地区数学奥林匹克”。

此项活动有效地促进了闽浙赣三省数学竞赛水平的提高，在2004、2005、2006、2007、2008年举行的第45－49届IMO竞赛中，均有闽浙赣三省的选手入选国家队，并获得四块国际金牌和一块国际银牌。近年来中国东南地区数学奥林匹克的影响不断扩大，上海、广东、江苏等地的重点中学及港、澳、台地区和部分境外代表队也纷纷派队参赛。根据中国东南地区数学奥林匹克组委会安排，决定于2009年7 月26 日至31日在江西师范大学附属中学举办第六届中国东南地区数学奥林匹克（6th Chinese Southeast Mathematical Olympiad）竞赛。为了更好地做好这项工作，现将有关事项通知如下：

一、参赛对象：

1．闽浙赣三省17所数学奥林匹克协作体学校：福州第一中学、福建省龙岩第一中学、福建省漳州第一中学、厦门双十中学、福建省莆田第一中学；浙江镇海中学、浙江学军中学、浙江温州中学、浙江杭州二中、浙江效实中学；江西南昌二中、江西师大附中、江西上饶一中、江西临川一中、江西景德镇一中、江西南昌十中、江西鹰潭一中。

2．国内部分重点中学、香港、澳门、台湾地区代表队以及境外（俄罗斯、印度、菲律宾等）代表队

二、参赛人员：

每校选派一个代表队，每队由4名高一学生和1名领队教师组成。

三、竞赛范围：

1．高一教学内容（集合、函数的概念、基本初等函数（Ⅰ）、函数的应用、立体几何初步、基本初等函数II（三角函数）、平面向量、三角恒等变换、解三角形、数列、不等式）

2．数列问题、平面几何、数论、不等式证明、一般组合问题

四、活动安排：

五、奖项设置：

设集体优胜奖6个，个人一、二、三等奖若干名。

六、参赛费用：

1．各位队员、领队、来宾的往返旅费自行承担。

2．闽浙赣三省协作体学校：每支代表队交2009年协作体年会费2500元。

3．非闽浙赣三省协作体学校：每支代表队交考试费3500元。

4．活动期间的食宿等由主办单位统一安排。

5．特邀嘉宾由承办单位与江西省数学学会以及中国数学会普委会协商后确定。

七、交通线路：

1．乘火车至南昌站，再乘的士约10分钟到达。

2．乘飞机到昌北机场后，乘机场大巴到南昌八一广场，再乘的士约5分钟到达。

6^th China Southeast Mathematical Olympiad

China Southeast Mathematical Olympiad(CSMO), formerly known as the three-provinces---Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi Mathematical Olympiad, is advocated and initiated by Professor Qiu Zonghu, vice chairman of the China Mathematics Committee, so as to promote cooperation and exchange between the three provinces in maths teaching and learning. The first convention held by the FZJMOU was in the year 2003 and was open to senior grade one students from these three provinces as well as from famous middle schools across China and other countries and regions. Its name was officially changed to China Southeast Mathematical Olympiad in July, 2004.

The convention has significantly enhanced the competitiveness of the three provinces in Mathematics, as, from the year 2004 till 2008, students from the Mathematics Olympiad Union took part in each competition of IMO and got four gold medals and one silver medal. In recent years, as the CSMO has made its influence recognized, more and more delegations from other provinces, such as Shanghai, Guangdong and Anhui, as well as from HK, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries，come to join in it. Under the leadership of the China Mathematics Olympiad Committee, the 6^th CSMO is scheduled from July 25^th, 2009 to 30^th in the Attached Middle School of Jiangxi Normal University. Following are some notes:

Participants:

1.        the 17 member schools of the Fujian-Zhejiang-Jiangxi Mathematics Olympiad Union(FZJMOU): Fu Zhou No. 1 Middle School, Fu Jian Longyan No.1 Middle School, Fu Jian Zhangzhou No.1 Middle School, Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School, Putian Middle School of Fujian; Zhejiang Zhenhai Middle School, Zhejiang Xuejun High School, Zhejiang Wenzhou Middle School, Hangzhou No. 2 Middle School, Zhejiang Xiaoshi High School; Jiangxi Nanchang No.2 Middle School, The Attached Middle School of Jiangxi Normal University, Jiangxi Shangrao No.1 High School, Linchuan No.1 Middle School, Jiangxi JingDezhen No.1 Middle School, Jiangxi Nanchang No.10 Middle School, Jiangxi Yingtan No.1 Middle School.

2.        some top middle schools in China, including HKSAR, Macao, Taiwan, and other countries and regions (Russia, India, the Philippines, etc.)

Team Members:  One team leader and four contestants

Contents of Competition:

set, concept of function, basic elementary/primary function(Ⅰ), application of function, elementary/primary solid geometry, basic elementary/primary function(Ⅱ)(trigonometric functions), planar vector, conversion of trigonometry, solving a skew triangle, number sequence, inequality, planar geometry, number theory & elementary/ primary combination.

Arrangements of Activities:

Awards: six group prizes and several first, second and third prizes for individuals

Cost: 1. All members, including team leaders, contestants and guests, will be responsible for touring fares;

      2. Member schools of the FZJMOU: 2009 annual conference fee, 2500RMB/team

      3. Non member schools of the FZJMOU: fees for participating, 3500RMB/team

      4. The host will be responsible for accommodation of all participants;

      5. Special guests will be invited after negotiation.

Routes:

1. You can travel by train to Nanchang Railway Station, and then a 10-minute taxi drive can take you to The Attached Middle School of Jiangxi Normal University;

2. You can travel by plane to ChangBei Airport, and get to Bayi Square by airport bus and then a 5-minute taxi drive can take you to The Attached Middle School of Jiangxi Normal University.
